Archive of Operational RFC Point Data, Location Data and
Radar Location from IHFS Database 

Intergrated Hydrologic Forecast System (IHFS) database is a relational database that provides integrated data storage and access for hydrologic functions within AWIPS. Data is unloaded into ASCII flat files from the following tables:

  • Agricultural
  • Discharge
  • DPARadar
  • Evaporation
  • GageRadarLoc
  • Ground
  • Height
  • Ice
  • Lake
  • Location
  • Moisture
  • Precip
  • Pressure
  • Radiation
  • Rejecteddata
  • Rwradarresult
  • Rwbiasdyn
  • S2GageRadarVa
  • Snow
  • Stage2Result
  • Temperature
  • Wind
  • Weather
  • YUnique

The point data was unloaded from the vl table, then the obs_value table. As of August 2001, the point data consists of the agricultural, evaporation, ground, height, ice, lake, moisture, precip, discharge, radiation, pressure, snow, temperature, wind, weather and yunique tables. The point data files for a month are concatenated and then UNIX compressed into monthly files. These monthly files are between 100 to 200 megabytes when uncompressed. The gage radar location, location and radar location data is unloaded once a month and UNIX compressed. The table below shows the date range of the archived data.
